A chemist was critically injured after two masked assailants allegedly opened fire outside a medical store in Sector 11 here on Saturday afternoon.
Sources said the injured, reportedly the owner of Kumar Medicos, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the PGIMER in a critical condition. Two other persons are also said to have suffered injuries in the incident.
Though there was no official confirmation till the filing of this report, sources claimed that several rounds were fired outside Kumar Medicos in Sector 11. The victim was allegedly targeted at point-blank range.
The owner of the medical store had reportedly received threat calls in the past. In 2017, two youths had fired shots in the air outside Kumar Brothers Medicos, though no one was injured in that incident.
