MANILA, Philippines — Reigning World 10-Ball champion Chezka Centeno is on fire as she booked her spot in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Las Vegas Open being held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino in Nevada.

Centeno dominated the match, dismantling American Kennedy Mayman with a convincing 2-0 victory, securing her place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The 26-year old pride of Zamboanga City showcased her impressive form, firing off a 4-2 win in the first set against Mayman.

The American cue artist couldn't recover, as Centeno sealed the match with a decisive 4-0 victory in the second set.

Centeno's next challenge awaits, as she faces Austrian veteran Jasmin Ouschan in the quarterfinals.

On the other hand, Rubilen Amit, a three-time world champion, suffered a surprise defeat to Amber Chen, 1-2, bringing her tournament run to an abrupt end.

In the men's division, veteran Pinoy cue master Carlo Biado's run ended in the Round of 16, falling 0-2 to Germany's Joshua Filler, dashing his hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals.

Biado was the lone Filipino to reach the Round of 16, as compatriots Miguel Sevilla, Roland Garcia, Jefrey Roda, and Jeffrey De Luna bowed out earlier in the tournament.

Sevilla fell to American Shane Van Boening (0-2), Garcia lost to Canada's Ben Francis (0-2), Roda was beaten by Australia's Albin Ouschan (1-2), and De Luna succumbed to Russia's Ruslan Chinakov (0-2). TMT
