- A 12-year-old girl has been hospitalised with severe electrical burns after climbing a power pylon in Navahermosa, Spain, reportedly to take photos for social media.
- Emergency services, including firefighters, an ICU unit, and a medical helicopter, were dispatched to the scene in Toledo at around 6.45pm on Monday.
- Firefighters de-energised the pylon before securing the girl and lowering her using an aerial ladder.
- The victim was subsequently airlifted to La Paz Hospital in Madrid for urgent medical treatment following the electric shock.
- The Toledo fire service issued an urgent warning to young people after the incident, stressing that no photo or post is worth risking one's life.
