Zhang, a star athlete from Jiangsu, had humorously complained about the weight of her six medal cases while packing for her trip back home but managed to fit everything, including the blanket, into her suitcase.

Turns out to be China-made

However, upon returning to China, it was discovered that the blanket, adorned with the Paris Olympics logo and designed by professional artists, was made in her home province of Jiangsu, China.

According to Yang Zi Wan Bao, the blanket was produced by a textile company in Wuxi, much to the surprise and pride of the company’s representative, Mr. Sun, who recognized the product immediately.

Mr. Sun, a veteran in the textile industry with over 20 years of experience, shared that his company has been a supplier for major international events for many years.

“The Paris Olympics blanket was produced under strict quality control measures, involving careful selection of materials and rigorous testing to meet the high standards required for Olympic products,” he told the Chinese daily.
