If you forget your passports or important documents, you’re very likely to miss your flight. A Chinese man, who was recently travelling from Shanghai, China, to Singapore, realised that something slipped off his mind when he was on board the plane.

He realised that he had left his gas stove ON at home, with eggs still boiling on it.

If you were in his shoes, you might be fearful of a possible fire, and that was exactly his thought. The passenger, Mr Wang, immediately sought help from the cabin crew and conveyed his concern, 3 hours after he had left his home.

The flight, however, did not turn back, and the airline did something else to ease his anxiety

Upon learning about the incident, the pilot relayed the passenger’s details, including Wang’s address and smart lock code, to the airline’s customer service centre, so that the staff could enter his home to turn off the gas stove. The property management staff members were sceptical when the air crew called to explain the emergency.

However, they were later convinced by the situation after the air crew gave a clearer account of the situation.

And yes, the gas stove was on, but fortunately, the house was safe from any damage

According to a Chinese media, the staff managed to turn off the gas stove and open the windows for ventilation, and as you may have expected, the eggs were burnt. Wang was relieved to learn about the matter and thanked the staff repeatedly by saying,

“Thank you for saving my home.”
