Christian Eriksen admits he chose to join Manchester United in order to make up for lost time.
Eriksen joined United after six months with Brentford following last year's cardiac arrest at the Euros.
He told Viaplay: "It is one of the biggest clubs in the world. It was a make-up after what happened before, and like proving that you could get an offer from United. It was amazing. It's a huge club I've come to. I had enough (opportunities). I had enough options to choose from, but it was about finding the right one,.
"Of course Brentford wanted me to stay but I had the opportunity to step up to what I had dreamed of and hoped for. I wanted to speed up my career by coming to an even bigger address (club), and I succeeded."
