Kota Kinabalu: Several roads and parking areas in the city will be temporarily closed to facilitate the Kota Kinabalu Christmas Celebration (KKCC) 2024.
According to a statement from City Hall (DBKK), the event will take place from Dec 8 to Dec 13, featuring various activities.
AdvertisementOn Dec 8, the car park on Jalan Padang will be closed from 1am to 7pm, while Jalan Padang will experience periodic closures between 4.30pm and 7pm to accommodate the Fun Run Christmas Celebration 2024.
From Dec 10 to 13, parking at parts of Jalan Padang and the Old Library Site will remain closed daily from 1am to 10pm.

Read more Additionally, Jalan Padang, specifically from the gate of Jalan Istana to the front of the Usia Mosque, will be periodically closed from 5pm to 10pm during these dates.
The KKCC schedule includes the opening ceremony on Dec 10, a Revival Ceremony featuring decorated cars on Dec 11, the Christmas Ethnic Concert on Dec 12 and the closing ceremony on Dec 13.
