- Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of Hendon FC midfielder Ezekiel Williams, aged 26.
- Williams passed away in hospital on Monday after sustaining serious injuries in a suspected assault in Milton Keynes early on Sunday morning.
- Three men have been arrested in connection with the investigation, including two on suspicion of murder, and remain in police custody.
- Hendon FC paid tribute to Williams, describing him as a humble, generous and popular member of the dressing room, with a razor-sharp wit, following his arrival in September.
- The club postponed their London Senior Cup tie against Woodford Town on Wednesday as a mark of respect to allow staff and players to grieve.
