Tuaran: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged Sabah’s younger Muslim generation to adopt the spirit of Hijrah as a way of life by continuously improving their knowledge, skills, character, and identity.
In a speech delivered by Nominated Assemblyman Datuk Abdul Kassim Razali at the district-level Maal Hijrah 1448H/2026 celebration at Dewan Sri Sulaman on Thursday, Hajiji highlighted youths as vital assets determining the future of society, the State, and the nation.
He advised young people to leverage digital technology wisely for education, entrepreneurship, and living standards while cautioning them against technology misuse, fake news, cyberbullying, and social problems.
Emphasising that the Hijrah celebration should serve as a platform to appreciate Prophet Muhammad SAW's migration, Hajiji called for positive shifts in attitudes and actions to foster a united, disciplined, and morally upright society.
He further urged Sabahans and the people of Tuaran to maintain unity, preserve harmony, reject divisive elements, and actively support government development initiatives.
