COLUMBIA GROUP is rapidly expanding in the Greek maritime market, with its fleet under local management now climbing to nearly 100 vessels, company executives announced at an industry event this week.
Speaking ahead of the Posidonia 2026 global shipping exhibition, Columbia Group CEO Andreas Hadjipetrou emphasized the company’s deepening ties to local shipowners through its Athens-based subsidiary, Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM) Greece. The fleet under management for Greek clients now includes both full ship management and specialized crew services.
“We are committed to grow our presence in Greece,” Hadjipetrou told a crowd of more than 350 maritime executives, clients, and partners at a networking gala in Athens. “What you get with us is a trusted partner. You always see face value in what is negotiated in every matter of the business.”
The gathering, which marks the third consecutive Posidonia event hosted by the firm, highlights Greece’s central role in Columbia Group’s broader strategy to position itself as an integrated maritime, logistics, energy, and leisure platform.
The event also drew high-level political backing. Marina Hadjimanolis, the Deputy Minister of Shipping for Cyprus, altered her official schedule to attend the gathering, praising Columbia Group’s ongoing contributions to the international maritime sector.
Gregory Spourdalakis, managing director of CSM Greece, credited the local Athens team for driving the company’s regional success and maintaining long-term relationships with prominent Greek shipowners.
Headquartered globally with more than 40 offices and 20,000 employees worldwide, Columbia Group has provided crew and ship management services for over 45 years.
