Since the footage’s circulation, it led to widespread condemnation by netizens, resulting in the Ferrari driver issuing a public apology and the company suspending him from his managerial duties immediately.

‘Resetting the energy’

In what seemed to be an attempt to be in the public’s good graces again, the streetwear company, Stoned & Co, announced that it would be giving out goodies absolutely for free starting 12pm today.

According to a poster released by the company on Threads, it said the event was its way of expressing “our gratitude to the community.”

“What happens in SS15 stays in SS15. Get yourself some famous food and drinks as well as accessories from SS15, we got and it’s all on us.

“This is about resetting the energy with the people who matter. We’re buying out the block to give back to the squad,” a paragraph in the posted read.

The company also encouraged those dropping by to honk twice before claiming their free goodies.

Event panned by netizens

Unfortunately, the announcement didn’t sit well with netizens, who made their displeasure known in the comments.

Many slammed the company for creating noise pollution by requesting attendees to honk twice and called the event a “big PR crisis”.

Others accused the company for using the event as a way to downplay the backlash the Ferrari incident incurred instead of taking full responsibility.
