While everything seems idyllic at first glance, a closer look reveals haunting secrets, turning into a nightmare. Cannibalism seems to run rampant as the villagers follow evil practices. Daigo races against time to stop more deaths and take on the powerful Goto family.

What happens in Gannibal season 2?
Gannibal season 2 picks up right where the last instalment ended. It follows Daigo Agawa as he struggles with his inner darkness while trying to take down the monstrous Goto family and end the village’s cannibalistic practices.
Season 2 of the horror thriller series will further explore the twisted story of the Goto family and the life of its matriarch Gin Goto (the younger version played by Yuri Tsunematsu). Several key questions such as how did the family gain control over Kuge, what is the reason behind her allure and insanity and how she manipulated the villagers into following such heinous practices shall be addressed in the new season.

The cast of Gannibal season 2
Besides Yuri Tsunematsu and Yûya Yagira, the upcoming season sees Show Kasamatsu as Keisuke Goto, Riho Yoshioka as Yuki Agawa, Mitsuo Yoshihara as Iwao, Baijaku Nakamura as Sabu and Mitsuko Baisho as elderly Gin Goto reprise their roles.
Newly announced cast members include Yuki Kura, Kosuke Toyohara and Hashizume Isao.
Gannibal season 2 episode release schedule
Disney+ has announced that Gannibal season 2 will have eight episodes in total. It premiered with two episodes on 19 March, and the next two episodes arrived on 26 March.
