Brentford have opened new contract talks with manager Thomas Frank.

In January, Frank committed himself to Brentford until 2025 but the club are now discussing new terms amid possible interest from elsewhere.

The Daily Mail says no agreement has been reached with the 49-year-old, who led Brentford to the Premier League and currently has them sitting in the top half of the table.

Frank celebrated his 200th game in charge last week, having succeeded Dean Smith as head coach four years ago this month.

His success with Brentford has turned heads elsewhere and it's understood he would be on the radar of both Leicester and Aston Villa – should either Brendan Rodgers or Steven Gerrard leave their respective roles. Frank would also appear an obvious candidate to take over as Denmark boss at the end of Kasper Hjulmand's tenure. Frank worked with the country's age-group setup before moving to England.
