
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said Himachal securing the sixth position in the country in providing quality school education, as per the Performance Grading Index 2.0 report, became possible due to reforms introduced by the government in the education sector.
Sukhu said it is with a focus on quality education, teacher training and expansion of school facilities that Himachal could achieve this milestone. He said Himachal Pradesh has jumped seven places from 13th to sixth position, while among the states category, it has secured the third position as per the PGI 2.0 report released by the Ministry of Education.
Sukhu said Himachal has been placed in the prestigious ‘Prachesta-2’ category, which is a matter of pride for the state. Congratulating teachers, officers, employees of the Education Department and students, the CM said this achievement is the result of their collective efforts.
