KOTA KINABALU - Queen Elizabeth I Hospital (HQEI) operations are running smoothly without any extraordinary congestions following the contract doctor strike launched throughout the country starting on Monday.

Based on Sinar's observation in HQE the situation was under control where patients present were getting the required treatments from hospital staff and personnel as usual.

There were no signs showing an extraordinary congestion due to a lack of staff when contract doctors were supposedly going on a strike across the nation.

However, hospital nurses were asked to be prepared for any unexpected situations.

Sabah State Health director Datuk Dr Rose Nani Mudin said Sabah State Health Department will ensure the services for the people would be continued.

News reports stated the contract doctor strike themed 'Black Monday Strike' would be continued from Monday to Wednesday even though it was prohibited by the Health Ministry.

The movement through Instagram asked all parties in support of the movement to wear black clothing.
