SHAH ALAM - Koperasi Orang Kota Bharu Berhad (COOP OKB) has entered into a strategic partnership with Solartech Sales and Services Sdn Bhd to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on delivering solar energy solutions across East Coast Malaysia.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on July 7, is expected to strengthen business opportunities in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang while creating new job opportunities and supporting sustainable economic growth.
The agreement was signed by COOP OKB chairman Datuk Nik Izani Nik Ibrahim and Solartech Sales and Services Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Roy Chok, in the presence of COOP OKB business development director Ahmed Tarmize Mohd Yusoff Tuan Padang.
Tarmize said the partnership was designed to expand the organisations' business network, particularly in the East Coast region.
"We are not only focusing on installations in industrial areas, but this project also includes installations for individual homes and residential housing.
“This collaboration would create employment opportunities for young people, youths and unemployed graduates, while also offering opportunities for individuals interested in becoming marketing agents for solar products,” he said.
COOP OKB also plans to establish partnerships with subsidiaries of the Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang state governments to further strengthen and expand the business.
Meanwhile, Solartech Sales and Services Sdn Bhd has committed to sharing its technical expertise and delivering high-quality solar energy solutions to ensure every project meets customers' requirements and industry standards.
COOP OKB said it believes the strategic partnership will drive a range of initiatives that will generate positive outcomes for both organisations while contributing to sustainable economic development.
