A POLICEMAN recently pulled over a car while on routine patrol and upon inspection, discovered that the driver did not have a valid driving licence.
According to X user @bckupacc99, the driver's family was also in the car and the policeman proceeded to issue a summons.
When handing over the summons, the driver said, "It has been such an unlucky day for us. Went to look for a job, but did not get it and now ended up with a summons while on our way home."

Hearing this, the policeman was overcome with guilt and began apologising to the family.
He explained that he was only carrying out his duty and that the driver should not be on the road without a valid driving licence.
"Why didn't the uncle tell me his situation before I issued the summons," the policeman thought to himself.

The policeman then asked the family if they had eaten and while the driver nodded, his wife revealed that they had not had anything since morning.
Feeling deeply disturbed, the policeman then took some money from his pocket and handed it to the driver for them to get something to eat.

“Policemen are humans too. It’s not about the body camera; it’s about having a heart and empathy. Issuing a summons is part of the job, meant to prevent the mistake from happening again,” read the caption in the video. - December 18, 2024
