
Kota Kinabalu: Police crippled a drug trafficking operation after arresting a 40-year-old local who had been selling illegal substances using a cash-on-delivery method across Kota Kinabalu and Penampang since early this year.
The suspect was recently detained by Sabah Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department officers outside a premises lobby in Bundusan, Penampang at 8.55pm, according to Info X.
Sabah Narcotics Crime Investigation Department Chief ACP Alhusin Halil said initial searches uncovered four red-and-white plastic packets labelled “Supreme Plus+” containing 122.3gm of suspected ecstasy powder.
Police also seized a small transparent packet containing 13 pink pills marked “Refex” weighing 4.8 gm, believed to be ecstasy tablets, as well as a Toyota Hilux vehicle and RM6,400 in cash.
Following the arrest, police conducted a second raid at a house in Taman Nelly, Kolombong, the same night, where they discovered various packets containing 1,223.7gm of suspected ecstasy powder and two packets with 53.2gm of suspected ketamine crystals.
Additional seizures included foreign currency worth USD5,395, jewellery comprising two bracelets, one chain and five rings, plus sealing equipment and nearly 100 empty plastic packets believed used for processing ecstasy powder.
The suspect admitted to distributing ecstasy and ketamine around Penampang and Kota Kinabalu since early 2025 through cash-on-delivery services.
Police seized a total of 1,346gm of ecstasy powder, 53.2gm of ketamine and 4.8gm of ecstasy pills worth RM54,840.
