KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Police are investigating a man who allegedly drove against traffic and caused a three-vehicle collision along Kilometer 24 of the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP) on Sunday.

According to Kosmo! Online, Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad said authorities received a report on the incident at about 1.07pm.

Preliminary investigations found that a Honda City driven by a man was travelling against the flow of traffic before colliding with two other vehicles.

He said the Honda City struck a Perodua Axia and a Honda CR-V, which were travelling from Sunway towards Puchong.

The driver of the Honda City sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at hospital.

Muhamad Farid said a blood sample was taken from the driver and sent to the Chemistry Department for further analysis.

He added that both the Axia and CR-V drivers were not injured in the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and investigations are ongoing.

A video of the incident had earlier gone viral on social media, showing a vehicle driving against traffic before the crash on the highway.
