  • Julius Mkhwanazi, formerly the deputy chief of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department, was giving evidence at the Madlanga Commission.
  • Mr Mkhwanazi was suspended in November 2025 following recommendations of an internal audit investigation into allegations of misconduct.
