A common piece of patio furniture sold at Costco is being recalled — with people who own the swing being urged to stop using it “immediately” after multiple injuries were reported.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall notice on May 14 for the Agio-Menlo Woven Patio Swing, sold exclusively at Costco stores and online.
The recall notes that the swing can detach from its frame while in use, “posing a risk of serious injury or death from a fall hazard.”
The swings have a black metal frame, black metal swing arms, a fabric canopy and a padded seat in brown outdoor wicker, according to the recall notice.
There have been eight reports of the swing seat detaching from the swing frame, causing eight injuries to the head and arms.
As many as 18,500 units of the recalled swing were sold at Costco between February 2026 and March 2026.
The swing, which has a serial number of 1934256, and cost between $549 and $649.
Customers who purchased the swing and are unsure if they have the recalled model can contact World Bright International Limited, the swing’s distributor, for help.
Those with the recalled version are being advised to “immediately: stop using the swing.
Customers can contact World Bright International Limited to receive a free repair in the form of replacement hooks and instructions for replacing the hooks.
A notice posted to Agio brand website said the recall was voluntary.
"On behalf of ourselves and Costco, we want to thank you for your support and cooperation, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this recall may cause," the notice read.
