“Any nation that rejects a United Nations (UN) decision should be kicked out of the organization,” said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"The only option is to expel that country," Anwar added, referring to Israel's violence against the Palestinians in Gaza without naming any specific nation.
"Israel's failure to offer humanitarian supplies before the tragedy in Gaza has left us in a difficult predicament.
"We have taken this issue extremely seriously and have adopted a very tough approach. In fact, I have put out the argument that the only recourse available to a nation that rejects the UN Security Council's decisions or regulations is to exclude it from the organization,” said Anwar Ibrahim, as reported by Astro Awani.
At a press conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi following a bilateral meeting at Istana Al-Ittihadiya, he stated, “There are views that need to be considered, but I understand how complex this situation is because, as President El-Sisi stated, his priority is to stop hostilities.”
Anwar's four-day official visit to Egypt, which started on Saturday, included a courtesy call to El-Sisi earlier.
To address the continuous crimes committed by the Israeli state against the people of Palestine and Lebanon, Anwar Ibrahim declared that he would represent the Malaysian people at the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh.
According to the New Straits Times, the prime minister said an agreement among Islamic nations on how to end the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza is also anticipated at the summit.
He characterized the Israeli regime's aggression as excessive, seemingly uncontrollable, and intended to exterminate the country's Muslim population.
Additionally, he asserted that no nation in history had broken the law and escaped punishment.
On behalf of the Malaysian people, he also thanked the Egyptian President and people for their assistance in making sure that Malaysian humanitarian aid to Palestine in Gaza is delivered without a hitch.
