A Delhi court has reserved its order on an application filed by an NRI woman under Section 156(3) of the CrPC, seeking directions for the registration of an FIR and a probe against Rishi Jolly, son of former MLA, over allegations of domestic violence, harassment, threats and outraging of modesty.
The application, which was filed before the court on February 4, 2026, was heard before the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Aridaman Singh Cheema at the Patiala House Courts, Delhi.
The matter was earlier listed for filing of a fresh action taken report (ATR) and arguments on the complainant’s application. The investigating officer appeared before the court and placed a fresh ATR on record. Following submissions on behalf of the complainant, the court heard arguments and reserved its order for July 31, 2026 and kept the matter open for clarification, if any.
The complaint involves the NRI woman’s allegations of domestic violence, harassment, physical assault, and outraging of modesty against Rishi Jolly and his mother. The complainant has sought judicial intervention, contending that the allegations require investigation and that the role of both accused warrants examination. Meanwhile, a separate application moved on behalf of the proposed accused seeking inspection of the court record has also been heard by the court. The application was taken up on May 22, 2026 and again on June 9, 2026, following which orders were reserved. The matter is now listed for July 6, 2026 for the pronouncement of orders on the inspection application.
