Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres says he was aware of Premier League interest in January.
The Swede was a target for Everton.
"Yeah but I was just focused on being here and didn't have any thoughts on other things," said Gyokeres
"I was just thinking about the games we had during January, focusing on Coventry, and that's what I did."
On Thursday afternoon, Sean Dyche defended the club's failings to recruit attacking reinforcements, saying: "People worked hard to get deals done with certain situations. Sometimes it's just simple alignment. It's not always just about money."
