Covid-19: 1,672 new cases, 10 deaths

SHAH ALAM - The Health Ministry records 1,672 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with one imported case.

This brought the cumulative cases in the country to 4,951,986 cases.

Through the KKMNow Portal, 10 deaths caused by Covid-19 were reported and two were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

The death toll now stood at 36,667 since the pandemic began.

There were 26,578 active cases recorded on Tuesday, 24,573 or 92.5 per cent of which involved patients who were undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, a total of 94 patients were in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 52 requiring ventilator support.

A total of 2,722 patients were reported to have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,927,186.
