Covid-19: Malaysia records 1,749 new cases, six deaths

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records over 1,749 new Covid-19 cases on Monday with one imported case.

Data published by the Ministry of Health (MoH) through the KKMNOW portal showed six new deaths recorded due to Covid-19 in the country, which brought the total to 36,554 deaths.

There were 28,784 active Covid-19 cases with 26,829 or 93.2 per cent of patients under home quarantine while a total of 1,866 patients were admitted to hospitals.

A total of 89 patients were placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 54 requiring ventilator support.

The ministry recorded 2,564 recoveries making the total to 4,885,228 recoveries.
