Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 285 cases on Tuesday, an increase from 245 the day earlier due to a higher number of test samples, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“The rise of cases is in tandem with the number of test samples, which is 3,189 compared to 2,198 the day earlier. The positivity rate is still high at 11.35 per cent, although lower than 12.19 per cent the day before,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 92 cases, followed by Sandakan (29), Tawau (29), Lahad Datu (22), Tuaran (19), Penampang (15), Keningau (12) and Papar (10).

“Among districts recording an increase in cases include Lahad Datu (+19), Tuaran (+11), Keningau (+9), Sipitang (+7) and Ranau (+6). Five districts did not record any new infections in the last 24 hours,” he said.

Masidi said 281 out of 285 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was recorded in category three and three in category four. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
