CREAMLINE is serious in getting back its championship form as the Cool Smashers signed Jen Nierva, one of the country’s top liberos, for the 2026 season of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Creamline announced Nierva’s commitment to the team on its socials on Friday afternoon.

“A new volleybelle is stepping into the pink. At 166 cm, a battle-tested libero who plays with heart, grit, and control. A champion mindset. A steady presence on the court. Welcome to the GV-Kada, Jen Nierva!” the franchise posted on social media.

Nierva played a pivotal role in ending National University’s 65-year title drought in the UAAP and was named Best Libero in Season 84. She was also part of the country’s historic silver medal finish in the 2025 AVC Women’s Nations Cup.

Creamline had a tough 2025 season and its 19 straight podium appearances was snapped during the Reinforced Conference.

Nierva will bolsters the libero rotation of the league’s most successful franchise as she teams up with Denden Lazaro-Revilla, Ella de Jesus and Alleiah Torres.

Nierva played for Chery Tiggo when she turned pro and made an exceptional performance against Creamline in the 2024 All-Filipino Conference, where the Crossovers snapped the 19-game winning streak of the Cool Smashers.

She recorded 20 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions for Chery Tiggo in that massive upset victory.

The Crossovers had recently disbanded and Nierva opted to play for the Cool Smashers this year. NICOLE ANNE BUGAUISAN
