MANILA, Philippines — Creamline is in its familiar territory.

The Cool Smashers are on their 10th Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference semifinals appearance and displayed their grit and composure after prevailing over the PLDT High Speed Hitters in five grueling sets, 22-25, 27-25, 19-25, 28-26, 15-10, on Saturday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The last time Creamline officially won against PLDT was during the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference.

The 10-time league champions played cat and mouse in the fifth frame against PLDT, but Pangs Panaga made a smart placement shot, followed by Bernadeth Pons' crosscourt attack for a 14-10 lead.

Savi Davison made an attack error that allowed Creamline to escape with a victory, 15-10.

Bernadeth Pons made a career-high performance of 28 points on 21 attacks, four blocks, and three aces.
