MANILA, Philippines — Camiguin Airport's runway was temporarily closed on Friday due to flooding caused by Tropical Storm Basyang.
The flooding was caused by an overflow of an adjacent creek, leading the Civil Aviation of the Philippines (CAAP) to suspend operations.
CAAP issued a Notice to Airmen (Notam) closing Runway 07/25 at 9:52 a.m. on February 6, 2026. The agency added that the closure is expected to end at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
The flooding also resulted in the cancellation of Cebu Pacific flights DG6695 and DG6696, affecting 67 passengers. Affected travelers were advised to monitor real-time updates via the Cebu Pacific flight status page.
