SANDAKAN: A crocodile was captured by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) at Kampung Tinusa 2 early Thursday morning.

According to Sandakan District Civil Defence Officer Sulaiman Salama, the reptile was spotted under a bridge by a resident who was tidying his boat when he noticed it entangled in a rope.

Fearing for the safety of the community, the resident immediately contacted the MERS 999 emergency line for assistance.
