A CROW that fell into the lake at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa was successfully rescued by the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (MCDF) following an emergency response on Sunday.

According to Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence District Officer Major Mohamad Aminullah Zulkafly, the department received an emergency call at 6.04 pm, prompting the immediate deployment of a team to the scene.

He said the first response vehicle arrived at 6.30 pm, and rescue operations commenced at 6.37 pm.

“Upon arrival at the location, the rescue team found a crow in the lake before immediate action was taken using a lake boat to rescue it.

“The operation successfully rescued the bird, which was then brought ashore,” he said in a statement.

The operation was concluded at 7.01 pm, involving four personnel from APM Kuala Lumpur and the use of a Light Rescue Vehicle.

While no human casualties were involved, the incident highlights the range of situations handled by emergency responders, including animal rescue efforts in public recreational areas. - March 23, 2026
