MEMBERS of the public have started to gather around the Sogo complex in the city centre ahead of the #TangkapAzamBaki rally scheduled for this afternoon.
Observations at the scene indicate that the crowd is currently orderly, with participants congregating along pedestrian pathways and nearby areas surrounding the shopping centre.
The rally has been organised to press for action against Tan Sri Azam Baki, the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), over his recent alleged shareholding issue.
Police were deployed around the Sogo vicinity to monitor the crowd and ensure that the situation remains under control.
Authorities have maintained a visible presence throughout the area to prevent disruptions.
Meanwhile, Pandan Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli arrived near the Sogo shopping complex at approximately 4.30 pm, drawing attention from participants who had begun assembling in the area since early afternoon.
He was welcomed by fellow lawmakers, including Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Subang MP Wong Chen, Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail, and Wangsa Maju MP Zahari Hassan.
Rafizi was seen shaking hands with supporters and engaging in brief discussions with other MPs ahead of a scheduled speech session.
Further updates on speeches by MPs and developments at the rally will be provided as events unfold. - February 15, 2025
