
CROWN Asia Chemicals Corp. posted a 73-percent increase in net profit in the first half of 2026, supported by higher revenue and gross profit.
In a regulatory filing, the company reported a net profit of P133.7 million for the January-June period, up from P77.3 million a year earlier.
Revenue rose 33.2 percent to P753.8 million from P565.7 million while gross profit increased to P280.1 million from P201.7 million.
Profit before tax also climbed to P178.3 million from P103.4 million a year earlier.
For the second quarter alone, Crown Asia Chemicals recorded a net profit of P69.8 million, more than double the P33 million posted in 2025.
Quarterly revenue increased to P406.4 million from P265.1 million, while gross profit rose to P147.1 million from P89.9 million.
Meanwhile, earnings per share for the first half stood at P0.22, up from P0.13 a year earlier.
The company generated P187.8 million in net cash from operating activities during the first half, higher than the P173.2 million in 2025.
Crown Asia Chemicals spent P31.7 million on property, plant and equipment during the period, sharply higher than the P3.2 million in the first half of 2025.
The company also invested P50 million in short-term placements during the period, compared with P70 million a year earlier.
Cash and cash equivalents stood at P464.1 million as of end-June, up from P408.3 million.
Crown Asia’s share price rose by 5 centavos to close at P1.84 apiece last Friday.
