Yep, Lerma had his celebration dashed and VAR have confirmed the misery with the on-field decision standing. It remains 0-0.

Lerma has the ball in the back of the net with a neat header, but it has been ruled out for a push. It is going to VAR so there could be a chance, but it seems pretty clear that this goal will get disallowed.

PICKFORD SAVES AGAIN! This time he is asking for more from his team. Guehi peels off Branthwaite and directs his header back in the same direction but is denied by his England teammate. Some of the Everton players were calling for a foul but Anthony Taylor wasn't giving anything.

This has been a scrappy start to the game. Neither teams has managed to take the game by the scruff of the neck so far. Palace have had the better chances. In fact, they are the only team to have any so far.

Everton have a great record against Palace in recent years, but looking at Moyes' run against Glasner that could be at threat. The Austrian boss has come out on top in all three meetings against one another, with two wins against West Ham in the Europa League and last season Palace beat the Hammers in Moyes final year at the club. Which streak will come to an end?

Alcaraz takes a painful tackle from Hughes. The Englishman clatters into him and seems to have come off worst. He is hobbling around with Wharton coming out to warm up.

Everton have caused another problem for themselves. This time Beto is weak on the ball and the ball finds its way to Devenny who tries to drill a shot towards goal but again Pickford saves his side. He is normal quite animated after making a save but he seems quite calm after these two stops. He would be in his right to have a moan on this occasion.

PICKFORD DENIES MATETA! The Frenchman latches onto Tarkowski's skewed touch and tries to beat Pickford at his near post but the Everton 'keeper bails his defender out with a strong save.

Everton have wasted little time with passing the ball around the back. They have sent two long balls over the top of Palace's defence but poor deliveries into the box have let Everton down. Palace's back three could have have some sore heads tomorrow.

Kick-off is moments away in a miserable-looking south London, hopefully the match can turn make us forget about that!

One play who paid the price for the heated Merseyside Derby was Abdoulaye Dourcoure, his excessive celebrations and scrap with Curtis Jones has seen him suspended for this game. He is one of nine players Moyes is unable to call upon. It has given his bench a rather young feel, but the starting line-up has proven it is about to get the job done, especially Beto in past weeks. The Portuguese international might be having a similar upturn in form that Mateta felt with the introduction of a new manager.

It is a year to the day that Oliver Glasner was announced as Palace boss, and the one man who has personified the Austrian's success is Mateta. If he scores today he will level with Christian Benteke as the club's second-top Premier League goalscorer with 35. It is an impressive feat and he has become an absolute fan favourite in the past year. Eze has had a difficult season after a bright previous campaign Devenny given the chance to build on his goal in the Cup midweek.

I am not sure if Everton have calmed down from that hectic Merseyside Derby! It was an enthralling battle that went all the way to the end, and a bit after, but that 2-2 draw against Liverpool capped off a good start to life under David Moyes. They are unbeaten in their last four league games and have only suffered two defeats under the Scot, one in the cup against Bournemouth and Moyes' first game against Aston Villa. Let's see if they can continue to build on Moyes's dream return.

At one point in the season, this could have been seen as a relegation battle, but now both teams seem to have settled in the league and come into this game on a high. Palace progressed in the FA Cup, against Doncaster, and on top of that beat Manchester United the week before. They have had a great record against United in recent years... the same cannot be said when they face Everton. Eight games have been played since Palace tasted victory against their opponents today, including two losses where they let their lead slip. Painful.
