Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is happy to rid the rollercoaster of emotions that is managing the club.

Many are expecting Lampard to struggle at the Blues, given his inexperience, the loss of Eden Hazard and the club's transfer ban.

But he is simply enjoying his new role and wants to give it everything.

Lampard got off to a poor start with a 4-0 loss at Manchester United on the opening weekend.

Boss Lampard said to reporters: "This week is a good example of that rollercoaster but I had a year at Derby with similar rollercoasters.

"It comes with managers' jobs, particularly at clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City all the bigger teams.

"A lot has happened but I was ready for that and I certainly don't fear that.

"There are challenges every day in this job, from small decisions at the training ground to a big decision about a player after a result.

"I'm prepared for that and let's see what the rollercoaster brings moving forward."
