Cyclone Jude struck Mozambique on Monday, causing widespread damage, flooding, and power outages.

With winds of up to 120 km/h, the storm hit regions with a large child population, heightening concerns about waterborne diseases like cholera and malaria.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is working with the government to provide emergency aid kits, shelter, and medical supplies to those affected.

The cyclone’s arrival has strained humanitarian resources, which were already stretched thin due to previous disasters and ongoing crises in the country.
