Real Madrid intend to bid for PSG star Kylian Mbappe in 2020.
Real president Florentino Perez has been trying to sign the striker since his days with AS Monaco.
El Chiringuito says Perez now believes the time has arrived to close a deal for the World Cup winner.
The president will wait until the end of the season to move for Mbappe, with a bumper salary package being put together.
However, while Perez has long been a fan, Real have never asked PSG about a price for Mbappe - meaning negotiations over a fee will begin with a clean slate.
