It takes a lot of courage to forgive those who wronged you, but the loving father of the 22-year-old female student who recently fell to her death from a condominium in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, shared whether he would forgive those who allegedly bullied her daughter.

“Yes, I will. I may give them a scolding, but eventually, I will forgive them.”

Father of the 22-year-old woman who took her own life says that he would forgive those who bullied his daughter

The man said that if those who bullied her deceased daughter, He En Ni (transliteration), came to him for a sincere apology, he would eventually forgive them. He believed that those responsible should receive punishment for their wrongdoings, and refused to see another incident of cyberbullying against them due to her daughter’s case.

“They should receive the lessons they deserve, and be held legally responsible for their actions, not by rounds of cyberbullying by the netizens.”

“After all, they are other people’s daughters. But I just want them to know that they made a mistake. I heard that another girl dropped out of university because of their bullying.”

In the meantime, despite what the bullies had done, the father urged the public not to look for them online and hoped that the tragedy that befell her daughter would be a wake-up call to everyone, especially the bullies. He added that En Ni was someone cheerful during her lifetime, which perhaps explains why he never imagined that his daughter had a lot on her plate, to the point where it was unbearable.

“Give yourself a chance”

Additionally, he also hoped those who have suicidal thoughts to think twice before doing anything rash, and think about the people around them, as per a report by Sin Chew.

“Don’t forget your parents, your sisters, brothers, and those who are around you. Give yourself a chance, and give us a chance to face this together.”

Last week, En Ni, who was in her 3rd year of Public Relations Studies, left a note before she ended her life. En Ni was said to have been a victim of emotional and mental bullied, where she was criticised during a project work at the university.

The trio who allegedly bullied her were also denied entry at the funeral home on weekends. PDRM, on the other hand, is currently investigating the matter.
