Jessica Shepard is in a league of her own this WNBA season, and the numbers are starting to show it.
The Dallas Wings made a statement with their 95-87 win over the defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night, and Shepard was at the center of it all.
She finished with 22 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists, turning a major win over A’ja Wilson’s team into a historic performance, and an opportunity to set herself above her fellow players.
Jessica Shepard triple-double stat highlights her unique impact

Shepard became the first player in Wings history to record multiple triple-doubles after her dominant display against Las Vegas, according to ESPN.
But the wider context stands out even more. Shepard’s two triple-doubles are the only two recorded in the WNBA this season.
Her first came in Dallas’ 99-89 win over the Chicago Sky, when she had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
That game showcased her vision and passing, while the Aces matchup also highlighted her physical presence, with 20 rebounds against one of the league’s strongest frontcourts.
Shepard now has three double-doubles and two triple-doubles in her last five games, giving Dallas a real threat in the frontcourt.
The Wings have climbed to 5-3 and into the top three in the Western Conference, with Shepard leading the league in rebounds at 11.4 per game.
Dallas have other big names around her, including Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. But right now, Shepard is the player making the Wings look different.
