DAMOSA Land, the property development arm of the Floirendo family-led Anflocor Group, officially launched TRYP by Wyndham Samal on Thursday, marking the lifestyle hotel brand’s debut on the island.
Company executives said the launch underscored Damosa Land’s push to develop world-class tourism destinations in Mindanao while reflecting a disciplined approach to responsible investment and long-term value creation.
The development is a project approved under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Securing and Expanding Capital in Real Estate Investment Transactions framework.
“TRYP by Wyndham Samal represents our continued focus on sustainable, high-impact developments that create lasting benefits for communities and stakeholders,” said Ricardo Lagdameo, president of Damosa Land.
He expressed optimism that the project would strengthen Samal’s tourism appeal while generating employment and economic opportunities for the island.
The company said the launch of the TRYP by Wyndham brand positions the property as a contemporary lifestyle destination on Samal, known as a top tourist draw in the region.
The hotel features modern accommodations, curated dining concepts and leisure amenities designed to meet international standards while highlighting local character.
Damosa Land said the project was aligned with its broader strategy of supporting tourism growth and regional development in Mindanao, particularly in emerging leisure destinations.
