Anthony Kim has arguably given LIV Golf the league’s greatest ever moment with his absolutely incredible victory in Australia earlier this year.

Kim was a significant signing for LIV having completely disappeared from the PGA Tour more than a decade ago. His return to the game certainly brought plenty of eyes to LIV.

However, he spent much of his time over the first couple of seasons down towards the bottom of the leaderboard. So it was little surprise when he was relegated at the end of the 2025 campaign.

But something clicked from there for Kim. He earned his way back into the league for 2026. And he went on to win in Adelaide despite starting the final round several shots adrift of both Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau.

Dan Rapaport hopes to see Anthony Kim back on the PGA Tour

Of course, there is now doubt over how much longer Kim’s comeback story can continue for. The league’s future is up in the air, with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia set to withdraw their financial support.

Given his time away, he would potentially face a long road back if he decided to try his hand at returning to the PGA Tour.

But speaking on Dan on Golf, Dan Rapaport insisted that he would love to see Kim back on his former tour.

“Just box office. I just want to see him back on the biggest stages,” he said.

“I want to see him more, I don’t want LIV going away to mean Anthony Kim goes away, because that was one of the best stories of the year in golf. I think we’ll get to the end of the year and still feel that was one of the best stories of the year in golf.”

Anthony Kim’s PGA Tour career to date

Kim must feel that he can now do absolutely anything he sets his mind to. Whatever you think of LIV, it cannot be denied that they do have some outstanding players. So it is a monumental achievement that he managed to win.

It was a reminder of just how exciting a prospect he was when he burst onto the scene. Kim won three times on the PGA Tour, while he also shone as part of Team USA at the 2008 Ryder Cup.

He won more than $12 million on the PGA Tour, registering 22 top 10s in 122 starts. So it would be fascinating to see how he would fare if he returned in the future.
