Dana White says tens of thousands of fans could attend the UFC’s planned White House event for free after revealing details about the venue layout and ticket plans.

The UFC president has been discussing staging the historic fight card in Washington, D.C.

According to White, the scale of the event could make it one of the biggest spectacles the promotion has ever attempted.

Dana White explains layout for potential UFC White House event

White outlined the idea in comments shared during a recent interview, describing how the event could be staged around the White House grounds.

“The way that the White House is laid out, you’ve got the White House, you’ve got the South Lawn, and then there’s a road, and then the Ellipse. There’s a park that’s right there,” White said.

The UFC boss suggested the surrounding public areas could allow the promotion to host an unusually large audience compared with traditional arenas.

White also revealed how the promotion plans to handle access for fans.

“We’re gonna be ticketing 85,000 people in the Ellipse, and the tickets are free, and we’ll announce how we’re gonna be giving them away soon,” White stated. “But you should plan on going to Washington DC for this event.”

The Ellipse is a large park area located just south of the White House and has previously been used for major public gatherings and events. White suggested the space could accommodate tens of thousands of fans watching the fight card live.

Further details about the event and ticket distribution are expected to be announced once planning is finalized.
