In a diplomatic endeavor resonating with solidarity, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim embarked on a significant three-day visit to Qatar, where he engaged in crucial discussions with Hamas leaders, advocating fervently for an end to Israel's alleged atrocities against Palestinians.

During the meeting, Anwar Ibrahim underscored the imperative for Israel to cease its actions against Palestinians and emphasized the urgency of releasing all Palestinian prisoners. Additionally, he urged Israel to embrace a comprehensive peace plan, signaling Malaysia's unwavering commitment to the cause of Palestinian liberation.

The delegation from Hamas, led by Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas chief, and Khaled Mashal, former chairman, provided Anwar with updates on the prevailing situation in Gaza and Rafah, shedding light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis gripping the region.

In a poignant statement shared on social media platforms, Anwar reiterated Malaysia's dedication to halting the assaults on Rafah and pledged increased efforts to aid the victims of the protracted conflict ravaging Gaza.

As Israel intensifies its offensive on Rafah, Hamas' stronghold in Gaza, civilians find themselves ensnared in a harrowing cycle of violence, grappling with the relentless onslaught of attacks.

"Since the onset of the conflict nearly eight months ago, the Palestinian populace has endured unimaginable suffering, with hundreds of thousands left dead or wounded, and swathes of Gaza's territory reduced to rubble by the ruthless actions of the Zionist regime," Anwar lamented, echoing the sentiments of solidarity and empathy shared by many across the globe.

Expressing gratitude for Hamas' initiatives to secure the release of prisoners, particularly women and children, and their openness to embrace peace initiatives proposed by the Arab world, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the international community, Anwar highlighted the importance of collective efforts in fostering lasting peace and stability in the region.

Amidst escalating tensions and humanitarian crises, Anwar Ibrahim's diplomatic overtures underscore Malaysia's unwavering stance in advocating for justice, human rights, and the pursuit of peace in Palestine.
