DAP dominates Negeri Sembilan urban seats, loses Chennah and Repah in tight contests

SEREMBAN – Pakatan Harapan (PH), through DAP, is recording a strong showing across several key constituencies in the Negeri Sembilan state election, with the party leading comfortably in most of its contested seats based on unofficial results as of 8.45pm tonight.

The unofficial results indicate DAP is ahead in nine of the 11 seats covered by its candidates, including several constituencies where the party has established commanding majorities.

However, the party have unofficially lost to Barisan Nasional (BN) in Chennah and Repah, with both contests emerging as among the closest races involving DAP candidates.

Here's the breakdown for all 11 DAP-held seats in the 2026 Negeri Sembilan state election:

Chennah: Unofficial figures shows Siow Kong Choon (BN) securing 5,593 votes compared with Anthony Loke;s (DAP) 5,060 votes, giving him a majority of 533 votes. BN gain.

Total ballots issued: 10,802; votes received by both candidates: 10,653; spoiled votes: 138; and unreturned ballots: 11. 

Bahau: Unofficial figures showed Teo Kok Seong (DAP) leading with 9,995 votes against Chong Fui Ming (BN) with 6,688 votes, giving him a majority of 3,307 votes. PH retain Bahau seat.

Total ballots issued: 16,848; votes received by both candidates: 16,683; spoiled votes: 165; and unreturned ballots: 0.

Nilai: Unofficial figures showed J. Arul Kumar (DAP) leading with 15,797 votes, followed by Lai Chien Kong (BN) with 9,860, Zamani Ibrahim (BERJASA) with 5,844, Datuk V. Saravana Kumar (BERSATU) with 718 and Omar Mohd Isa (Bebas) with 167, giving Arul Kumar a majority of 5,937 votes. PH retain Nilai seat.

Total ballots issued: 32,731; votes received by all candidates: 32,386; spoiled votes: 344; and unreturned ballots: 1.

Lobak: Unofficial figures showed Chew Seh Yong (DAP) leading with 13,014 votes against Dr. P. Kumar (PN) with 1,989 votes, giving him a majority of 11,025 votes. PH retain Lobak seat.

Total ballots issued: 14,855; votes received by both candidates: 15,003; spoiled votes: 186; and unreturned ballots: 1.

Temiang: Unofficial figures showed Ho Weng Wah (DAP) leading with 5,249 votes, followed by Leaw Kok Chan (BN) with 3,366 and Fazly Hamid (Bersatu) with 514, giving Ho a majority of 1,883 votes. PH retain Temiang seat.

Total ballots issued: 9,199; votes received by all candidates: 9,129; spoiled votes: 70; and unreturned ballots: 0.

Bukit Kepayang: Unofficial figures showed Nicole Tan Lee Koon (DAP) leading with 24,096 votes against Lee Boon Shian (PN-Gerakan) with 8,959 votes, giving her a majority of 15,137 votes. PH retain Bukit Kepayang. 

Total ballots issued: 33,346; votes received by both candidates: 33,055; spoiled votes: 313; and unreturned ballots: 29.

Rahang: Unofficial figures showed Siau Meow Kong (DAP) leading with 7,896 votes, followed by Yap Siok Moy (BN) with 4,921, S. Tinagaran (PSM) with 400 and Tang Jay Son (Bersatu) with 160, giving Siau a majority of 2,975 votes. PH retain Rahang seat.

Total ballots issued: 13,608; votes received by all candidates: 13,377; spoiled votes: 210; and unreturned ballots: 21. 

Mambau: Unofficial figures showed Lee Kai Yet (DAP) leading with 15,846 votes, followed by Eric Michael (PN) with 3,644 and N. Sarawanan (Bersatu) with 786, giving Lee a majority of 12,202 votes. PH retain Mambau seat.

Total ballots issued: 20,466; votes received by all candidates: 20,276; spoiled votes: 185; and unreturned ballots: 5.

Seremban Jaya: Unofficial figures showed S. Mugunthan (DAP) leading with 14,171 votes, followed by Datuk R. Thinalan (BN-MIC) with 8,470 and R. Mahendran (Bersatu) with 327, giving Mugunthan a majority of 5,701 votes. PH retain Seremban Jaya.

Total ballots issued: 23,227; votes received by all candidates: 22,968; spoiled votes: 237; and unreturned ballots: 22.

Lukut: Unofficial figures showed Choo Ken Hwa (DAP) leading with 11,893 votes, followed by N. Sathes Kumar (PN-MIPP) with 6,184 and Teo Seng Lee (Bebas) with 567, giving Choo a majority of 5,709 votes. PH retain Lukut seat.

Total ballots issued: 18,887; votes received by all candidates: 18,644; spoiled votes: 227 and unreturned ballots: 16.

Repah: Unofficial figures showed Koh Kim Swee (BN) securing 9,779 votes compared with S. Veerapan's (DAP) 9,335 votes, giving him a majority of 444 votes. BN gain.

Total ballots issued: 19,313; votes received by both candidates: 19,114; spoiled votes: 182 and unreturned ballots: 17. 

Of the 11 DAP-defended seats shown, DAP retained 9 while BN made gains in 2 - Chennah and Repah.
