SANDAKAN: Chairman of DAP Sabah cum Tanjung Papat Assemblyman, Datuk Frankie Poon, said it is welcome news that Sepanggar Port is moving up a knot with the implementation of the semi-automation system to enhance the terminal operating system by 2025.
“I am sure this is forward-looking and shall help to make cargo handling more efficient when cargos increase in volume.
“My question is what is the current cargo capacity and what is the expected capacity and efficiency by 2025? Are these enhancements being planned to cater to the projected volume of cargos for the next 5 to 20 years?” he said in a statement.
