Kota Kinabalu: Dapsy Sabah Secretary Chan Loong Wei urged all parties to respect the judiciary and uphold the rule of law, following recent statements made by Azuwan Marjan Norjan during the Kota Belud Umno AGM.
Azuwan had highlighted a motion passed by Umno Kota Belud seeking justice for former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
While acknowledging the right of any group to advocate for fair treatment, Chan emphasised the importance of respecting the country’s judiciary.
“The rule of law is fundamental to democracy, and justice should be pursued through the legal system,” Chan stated.
