KUALA LUMPUR – The Darul Makmur Stadium Corporation (PSDM) is willing to assist Imigresen FC in securing Darul Makmur Stadium as an alternative venue for their Super League fixtures during the month of Ramadan.

PSDM manager Izad Zainal Muhammad Safian told Scoop that the corporation is open to accommodating the club, especially given the difficulties they currently face with their home ground.

“We’re always open to helping any team in need of a venue,” he said. “If Imigresen FC expresses interest in using Darul Makmur Stadium, we are more than willing to consider the application seriously. In fact, if this is the ground they’ve always hoped to play at, we’d be happy to support that.”

Imigresen FC currently play at Batu Kawan State Stadium, which lacks adequate lighting for night matches – a significant issue during Ramadan, when most fixtures are held after sunset.

Izad said PSDM is aware of the club’s predicament and stands ready to support not only Imigresen FC, but any team requiring a temporary venue during the fasting month.

“We understand the logistical challenges clubs face, especially when matchday requirements clash with stadium limitations. It’s not easy, and we fully empathise with their situation.”

“It’s not just about Imigresen FC – we’re equally willing to assist any Super League side seeking a suitable ground. If hosting their matches at our stadium helps keep the season on track, we’ll do what we can to make it happen.”

He also said that while Darul Makmur Stadium is available, clubs must still adhere to standard procedures and submit requests in advance to ensure smooth coordination.

“There are formal processes to follow, but once we receive an application, we’ll evaluate it promptly. We aim to facilitate, not complicate. As long as everything is in order, we’re confident we can find a workable solution.”

Izad added that PSDM’s role goes beyond facility management and includes contributing to the broader development of football in Malaysia.

“Our responsibility is not just to maintain the stadium, but also to support the growth of the sport. If opening up Darul Makmur helps clubs compete without disruption, that’s a duty we’re proud to fulfil.”

Earlier, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) instructed several clubs – including Imigresen FC, Kelantan TRW, and Brunei DPMM FC – to confirm their alternative venues for Ramadan fixtures by August 15.

With TRW’s Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium and DPMM’s Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium unavailable during that period, the affected teams are racing to secure suitable replacements. For Imigresen FC, Darul Makmur has emerged as one of the most viable options.— August 6, 2025
