KUALA LUMPUR - Senior Deputy Public Prosecutor and former Federal Court Judge Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram has passed away at noon.
He was 79 years old
According to reports he was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital here last week for a lung infection.
The former federal court judge is the lead prosecutor in 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) corruption trial involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He is also the leading prosecutor for Najib's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor's corruption trials involving a solar hybrid project for 369 rural schools in Sarawak and money laundering amounting to RM7 million.
