Davao minimum wage earners get second pay hike

MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage workers in the Davao Region began receiving the second tranche of their wage increase on September 1, 2026, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Thursday.

Under Wage Order No. RB XI-24, agriculture workers now receive a minimum daily wage of P525, up from P515, while non-agriculture workers receive P540, up from P525.

DOLE said that the wage adjustment provides additional income support to workers and contributes to improving their economic well-being across the region.

“Proper implementation of the wage order is a shared responsibility among the government, employers, and workers to advance decent work, protect workers’ rights, and foster sustainable economic growth in the country,” the labor department said.

According to DOLE, labor inspectors will verify establishments’ compliance with the wage order during routine inspections as part of its regular labor inspection agenda.
